Services

  • Offshore Wind

    Optimus have been active in the offshore wind energy market for over nine years, commencing with the design of individual modules for substation platforms and building through to full detailed design of foundations, jackets and substation platforms.

    We provide a full suite of multi-discipline services for all project phases from conceptual design through to detailed design and installation and commissioning support.

  • Wave Energy

    Optimus have worked on a number of wave energy projects primarily as part of Wave Energy Scotland (WES) funded projects including Research and Development projects investigating aspects of early Wave Energy Converter (WEC) concepts utilising our advanced finite element analysis capability using ABAQUS software.

  • Multi-discipline Engineering

    Optimus offer a complete range of structural engineering for foundations and topsides design. Our highly experienced Safety & Risk specialists provide authoritative advice, training and technical safety workshops and design support. Our electrical and instrumentation disciplines cater for all aspects of electrical and control requirements as part of the design of any renewables solution. And with extensive experience in full asset lifecycle contract management services on behalf of clients from strategy development through to contract development, Optimus can provide our expertise to support all commercial aspects of a project.

    Whilst our skill sets have been honed within the offshore oil and gas industry these skills are fully transferable to the renewables industry and the deep and robust experience gained by the Optimus team over the last 40 - 50 years ensure that lessons learned from the north sea are robustly transferred during the energy transition.
